Separate public and private media
Use a private album with selective access instead of public posting. Screenshots or recording with another device remain possible. Avoid combining a face with unique identifying details when that creates risk.
If threats begin, do not pay
Do not send more material or comply with demands. Save screenshots of the profile, threats, URLs, timestamps and payment details. After preserving evidence, block the account, report it to the platform and contact local law enforcement.
Secure accounts and find support
Change compromised passwords, enable two-factor authentication and review active sessions. Tell someone you trust. Shame can isolate a target, but responsibility belongs to the offender.
